PROJECTS IN URBAN PLANNING / GIS
Studio II (Capstone Project) – Expansion of the City Point Historic District Plan for the City of Hopewell Analyzed and identified historic resources in the City Point area and created goals for the protection and preservation of homes. Used research skills by pulling information from local residents, the Virginia Department of Historic Resources, Assessor’s Office, and walking surveys to create data for analysis and input into GIS for maps.
Studio I (Group Project) – The Revitalization Plan for the Swansboro Neighborhood in the City of Richmond Coordinated with community stakeholders to analyze current neighborhood conditions and generate goals, objectives, and strategies for improving the neighborhood. Worked in the transportation and circulation group analyzing the existing transportation methods, road and utility conditions, traffic patterns, parking issues, pedestrian and bicycle routes, as well as public transportation and current utility infrastructure.
